CUSTOM WORK

Custom order inquiries should be sent to contact@is-nyc.com or through dm on the REDUX instagram page.  Please include “Custom” in the subject line of emails.  Be sure to provide your name, what you are (and are not) looking for, and your measurements (bra size and numeric pant size will do in a pinch).  Custom pieces can be made in sizes XXS - 8X with final waist measuremnts being made at least 1” smaller for a more corseted fit.  Be prepared to provide more measurements if requested.

Pricing for custom work will have an added fee (not applicable to sizes 1X and up).  Custom corset price starts at $120 USD for a basic strapless corset and increases based on style, materials, cost of fabric/ t shirt, and skill required (velvet + $60 for skill not including fabric cost, Satins/ sequins/ fur +$50 for skill not inclusing fabric cost, eyelets + $30, etc.).

I will not create pieces from t shirts provided from the customer’s own belongings.  I will not create pieces from collector items.  I will not create any pieces using t shirts that have derogatory, racist, or otherwise harmful imagery or text.

Some t shirts are not good matches for the patterns that I have made.  I will let you know and guide you through decisions based off of what I can do in an attractive way.  Understand that, with vintage tees, sometimes there are misprints, graphics can be printed crooked or too far to the side, there may be egregious damages, or a shirt/ graphic may be too big or small for your size.  My goal is to make you something you will love.  If I say something will not work, it’s because I have spent many hours trying to perfect the process as much as I can.  

Custom pieces are hand made, hand sewn, and may require pattern alterations that add on additional production time.  Please allow around 4-8 weeks to produce a custom order, accounting for the design process and communication, shipping of supplies, and sewing.  Rush orders may or may not be possible.  Be sure to specify “RUSH” in the subject line if that is what you wish for.  I will be honest with you if I cannot deliver.

HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR CORSET

Each corset is handmade, with large portions being hand stitched.  Even though they can withstand Cheesecake Factory-level portions, 2-hr long apartment dance parties, and running away from responsibilites, be sure not to tug or pull on them.  Too much tugging or pulling, especially at the straps, can lead to the fabric stretching out (imagine a stretched-out v neck t shirt), or pieces ripping/ coming loose.

All corsets should be hand washed (I suggest not using bleach or brighteners).  Do not soak them, and try to dry them laying flat.  Even though they are made from primarily vintage t shirts, color bleeding can still occur.

All vintage t shirts have been washed before sending them to you.

All pieces will be shipped insured with proof of delivery.  All orders will be provided with a tracking number.  You will recieve a confirmation email for shipment and delivery.

I claim no responsibility for any lost, stolen, or damaged packages from carriers. I am not responsible for any customs, duties, or brokerage fees that may occur when shipping to your country.

ESTIMATED SHIPPING TIMES

Orders will be dispatched in 1-4 working days from New York City after completion. Please note that due to Covid-19 and holidays, shipping may be delayed.

*This is a generalized size chart used as a base for the patterns.  Please refer to individual product pages for specific sizing information as each corset’s used materials can influence fit.

PAYMENT

Payments are accepted through Paypal or through our secure credit card server. All prices are in USD.

RETURNS/ EXCHANGES

I currently do not accept exchanges.  All returns will be on a case-by-case basis, as product descriptions are detailed enough in terms of fit and measurements. Custom items cannot be returned.  All prices are non-negotiable. All damages eligible for discount on REDUX items are already accounted for, as it is the nature of vintage items to sometimes have stains, holes, nubby textures, etc. If you have any questions, please email me at contact@is-nyc.com and write “Return” in the subject line, or dm me on instagram at instagram com/shopisnyc or instagram.com/isnyc.redux with your order number and reason for returning.
